CASA is a powerful voice, advocating for the best interests of abused and neglected children in the Dependency Court system in our community.
Vision Statement
Our vision is to provide a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for every abused and neglected child in our County.
Objectives
The objectives of the Cowlitz County CASA program are to:
Recruit, educate, support, supervise and equip Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) to advocate for children in Dependency Court and thereby enhance judicial decision making on behalf of the children.
Educate the community about our mission for the purpose of raising funds and recruiting volunteers.
Create and sustain working partnerships with other agencies and businesses that work for the best interests of children.
Serve all children we are appointed to through the Juvenile Dependency Court system, as outlined in our Juvenile Court Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) Contract with Cowlitz County and within the requirements of Washington State Laws governing CASA GAL programs.
Every child should be able to laugh, smile and play without fear. All children should have stable and safe home lives.
